Box office chart of private companies in the first half of the year
The first half of 2014 came to an end in the rush of "Change 4". By June 30th, the total box office of China mainland film market reached 13.5 billion (excluding the box office in rural areas and secondary markets), up 25% year-on-year. Domestic films accounted for 47% of the box office, and domestic films lost 7.1 billion with 6.4 billion. The first-quarter financial report released by the company shows that the cumulative output of three films in the first quarter was 715 million, and the final main business income of the film was 72.0255 million, down 49.89% compared with the same period in 2013. The box office conversion rate in the first quarter was only 10%, and the box office "gold content" needs to be improved.
In the second quarter, two love movies were released, and as of June 30th, the total achievement was 640 million, accounting for 47% of the total box office output in the first half of the year. The release plan in the second half of the year will be a box office dark horse worth looking forward to; Although it is tentatively scheduled to be released in December, from the current progress, it may be difficult for the film to produce box office this year.

In the first half of the year, four films of Wanda Film and Television ranked third with a cumulative box office of 877 million, and only released in the second quarter. In the second quarter, after Zhang Yimou joined LeTV, China’s first 4K/IMAX literary blockbuster achieved about 300 million, ranking third in the box office of Zhang Yimou’s works. The word-of-mouth of the 3D giant system was not ideal, and it finally received 140 million box office, with a cumulative box office of 816 million in the first half of the year, achieving 27% of the annual target value.
After the series operation in the second half of the release plan, the box office output should be guaranteed; Whether the old boys movie can become a dark horse remains to be tested; John Woo’s blockbuster, which is scheduled to be released at the end of the year, may become the main box office output, but the final schedule has yet to be determined.

According to the company’s announcement, there will be more than 10 films released by Huayi Brothers this year, and other films are tentative except for the release date in the second half of the year. "Love Times of WeChat" and war blockbusters are being filmed, and the rest of the projects are in the early stage of preparation. It is still unknown whether the films will have box office output this year. The films planned to be released in the second half of the year have high gold content, and the box office may increase substantially.
