On October 1st, National Day, whether in the distant frontier or in the bustling market, different cities and people all look in the same direction when the national flag is raised.
Early in the morning, Jia Yihe Selik came to the border police station of Chaxia Town, Xinjiang Tacheng Border Management Detachment. Seven years ago, on the National Day, the border police station in Chaxia Town was established, and the five-star red flag was raised here for the first time by Jayhe Selik and his comrades. In May, 2022, due to his job transfer, Jayhe Selik went to the border police station in Ergong Town. However, he agreed with his comrades that during the National Day every year, he would come to the border police station in Chaxia Town to raise a brand-new five-star red flag with everyone.
Over the years, it is the responsibility and responsibility behind the persistence of Jayhe Selik and his comrades-in-arms.
When the early morning sunshine illuminates the grassland, Mr. and Mrs. Huo Gao Wa, the herdsmen, start to get busy. Every year during the National Day, they will spontaneously hold a flag-raising ceremony. In 2023, they also invited friends from the surrounding herdsmen to participate in this solemn ceremony. Manchu Township in Keyouqianqi, Xing ‘an League is one of the 19 ethnic townships in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, where herders have lived on the border for generations. In 2022, Manchu Village built a standard flag-raising platform for 156 border herders, so that the five-star red flag Ran Ran was raised on the border of the northern part of the motherland.
In a residential area in Changchun, Jilin, training before raising the flag is being carried out here. Since 2012, the flag-raising ceremony has been held every week in the community. The original initiators were Zhang Xiuying, a resident of the community, and her wife Liang Jinhua.
During the National Day holiday, at 8 o’clock in the morning, the flag-raising ceremony in the community started on time.
In the past 11 years, the flag-raising ceremony was held every week, rain or shine, and more and more people took the initiative to participate, and the changes in the community became more and more obvious.
